My own story...(and why this exists!)

Drama has always been part of my life. I grew up performing in every school show I could,  and that love never left.

After university, I spent over ten years in corporate media production, eventually becoming Managing Director of a £1m+ business. But the goal was always the same: to return to theatre and create something meaningful.

In 2008, with a new baby and a demanding career, I made the leap - and StageAbility was born.

Seventeen years later, I’ve written hundreds of class plans, taught thousands of students, and built a thriving drama business.

Along the way, I saw the same thing again and again: Great drama teachers burning out - not because they lack ideas, but because planning takes so much time.

So I stopped keeping everything in my own folders…


…and started organising it into something useful.

That’s how The Drama Teacher’s Toolkit was born.
