WELCOME TO THE DTT ONLINE RESOURCE!

Spend less time planning and more time teaching drama lessons your students will love.

If lesson planning is taking over your evenings, you're not alone.

Whether you're teaching in schools, leading a youth theatre, running after-school clubs or delivering workshops, planning fresh, engaging drama lessons week after week can feel overwhelming.

The Drama Teacher's Toolkit was created to change that.

Built from over 18 years of real-world drama teaching and refined through thousands of lessons, it's your planning partner, helping you save time, reduce stress and deliver inspiring drama lessons with confidence.

"It's all there and catering to all ages!"

"I have been teaching drama for around 10 years - as a freelancer, for a stage school and as an independent tutor. I don’t know about anyone else, but it comes to a point where our “backpack” of knowledge is a bit overused and inspiration lacks. I signed up to The Drama Teachers Toolkit a few months ago and the wealth of knowledge has just been a God send! From lesson ideas for one- offs or working towards a final project, it’s all there and catering to all ages! I highly recommend to everyone!

Jackie - thank you for your support!  "

- Rachel Lewis

There has to be a better way...

Perhaps this sounds familiar....

It's Sunday evening, and you're still planning tomorrow's lessons.

You know you've taught the perfect activity before, but you can't remember where. You've got folders full of lesson plans, notebooks full of ideas and documents scattered across your laptop, yet somehow you're still starting from scratch.

You're teaching different age groups, different abilities and different settings, and every class deserves something fresh.

You love teaching drama. You just don't love spending hours planning it.

If you've ever found yourself thinking, "There has to be a better way," you're in exactly the right place.

Why I Created The Drama Teacher's Toolkit

For more than 18 years, I've had the privilege of running StageAbility, where my teaching team and I have helped thousands of children develop confidence, communication skills and creativity through drama.

Over those years, we created hundreds of warm-ups, games, activities and lesson plans.

Every week we adapted them. Improved them. Refined them. We discovered what worked, what didn't and how small changes could transform a good lesson into a brilliant one.

Yet despite having all of those resources, I still found lesson planning stressful.

I knew we already had the ideas, I just couldn't find them quickly enough.

So, in 2023, I decided to do something about it.

I spent hundreds of hours going back through more than a decade of lesson plans, organising every activity by the skill it develops and the learning objective it supports. It was a huge job.

But halfway through, I realised something.

If this was making planning so much easier for us, surely it could help other drama teachers and practitioners too.

That's how The Drama Teacher's Toolkit was born.

Imagine if planning felt different...

Imagine opening your laptop on Sunday evening and knowing exactly where to start...Finding the perfect activity in minutes instead of searching through years of files. Imagine walking into every lesson feeling organised, prepared and excited...Your students arriving each week wondering what they're going to do next because every lesson feels fresh and engaging.

Imagine finishing the day thinking, "That lesson went brilliantly."

Because planning just got easier. That's what From Stressed to Inspired really means.
